“When I make macramé I immerse myself in a calm world out of all routine. Emotions structure something stable and precious.”
Born in Moscow in 1987, she met macramé when she was just a 10-year-old girl. Trained as an Electronic Technician in Environmental Protection Engineering at MIET University, she worked for someone else in the laboratory until one day she decided to learn something that she could produce herself.
This turn in her life led her in 2011 to live in Indonesia, where she took the opportunity to develop her macramé techniques with Balinese handcrafted pieces.
After some time creating and selling her own designs, she began to test the transmission of simple techniques by organizing master classes for friends.
It will be on one of her trips where she will meet a Basque and, when love appears, there is nothing more to say. It will be in 2015 when they decide to move permanently to San Sebastián with their two children.
She would like Zurjole to be a friendly place where creative souls meet and where they share their experiences, their humor and their art.
