You will learn materials with which to weave seats and different techniques that can be applied both in the restoration of old seats and in the creation of new designs.
After attending this course, you will know the basic tools that exist to trace and cut wood manually and thus be able to build your own furniture. .
The course is prepared to transmit you the handling of rattan and the basketry techniques used with wicker. We will help you internalize the basic knowledge to be able to make baskets, rattles, balls, and any utensil made with wicker in ancient times.
The goal is for you to be able to design a three-dimensional object, model it in 3D, and finally sculpt it out of wood.
You can learn to knit with two straight needles or with a circular one In this course, you will begin with the assembly of points and the two basic points: the right and the reverse. For the more advanced you can also learn other points such as the brioche or drawings with lace points or eights.
This course intends that you learn to recognize and diagnose the state of the piece in which you are going to work. You will be able to decide the steps to take for its recovery or transformation.
You will learn to work with the techniques and materials of the different class projects and with this knowledge you will be able to develop your ideas.
After attending this course, the student will know better what wood is, what a tree is, and the natural resource that it has meant. You will know how to handle itand you will be prepared to make it a basic tool on a day-to-day basis.
