“Knitting socks always relaxes me a lot, it’s such a small project that I can take it almost anywhere. I can knit while waiting for my turn at the Hacienda or during a train trip. Touching natural fibers such as wool or cotton is a joy, weaving is healthy for your health. “
Born in Elmshorn, a town in northern Germany, she has been living in Donostia for more than 12 years.
She likes crafts since she was little and especially weaving with natural fibers such as sheep’s wool or linen. Besides knitting and crocheting, she has also learned some ancient techniques such as ‘Sprang’ or ‘nalbinding’ (knitting with a sewing needle), she can even spin her own thread.
She would like Zurjole to be that essential place that we should have where we can learn the ancient trades that have almost been lost. In fact, for her, Zurjole is the best meeting place where this is possible.
